Most wouldn't; questionable power claims, poorer filtration, and potential for MAF fouling yield a "lose-lose" scenario. When he race teams use a stock type paper filter, you have to ask yourself "Why bother?"..............

I would not use K+N filters. You could go to links explaining why there bad however I can tell you first hand that it will pass to much dirt through your filter over time. And if you continue to use it will result in faster engine wear and very dirty contaminated oil in much less of mileage span. The stock filter is fine.

If you do get a K&N - or other reuseable filter that gets oiled, be careful not to overoil it. I once bought a '77 GS750 that had a K&N replacement filter. It wouldn't rev beyond 6k. Checked plugs, wires, carbs, stator...everything. Found a forum post that suggested maybe the filter was overoiled causing restriction. Removed, cleaned and dried the filter good. Ran like a champ afterwards.

Just something to keep in mind.

The sound is good.

But the trade off is bad. Save your money and hassle. In the end, not worth it.
