Where to place the floor jack to lift the rear end altogether.

There really isn't a good place. I opened a post in our forums. A Pelican community member may be able to answer your question.

I have jacked my Carrera up many times by using the oil pan.
Maybe I am lucky, I don't know. The oil pan is robust and if you have a normal (3 or 4 inch) round plate on your jack... You will be ok. Check out Renntech.org. Many, many DIY guys just jack it up from the pan. I have lifted the whole 911 and removed the wheels using the oil pan as a jack point. |

If you do that you need to make sure your wood blocking is supporting the sides of the pan. If you jack in the center of the bottom plate, you risk punching through. Personally I don't do that and would use two jacks simultaneously at each side jacking point. The put stands on a suspension support.

![]() I used the crossmember in front of the oil pan. It seemed solid with two reasonable places for jack stands for safety. It worked out nicely for changing the rear pads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
