center Radiator leak from drain fitting
I installed a center radiator kit from our host back in August and didn't have any problems at that time or for the rest of the season.
I noticed a small pool of coolant under the front of my '99 996 C4 176,000 miles yesterday:-( Today with the car up on stands I can see that the leak is from the drain fitting at the lower left corner. I could just barely access the plug but could tell that it is firmly seated. Once I stripped the front bumper off ( might as well clean the radiators again, right?) I couldn't get much more rotation without over torquing the plug. No improvement, still a weep without pressure in the system. Pulled the plug and the o-ring looks good, no pinches, twists, or nicks. there is an alum washer seems to be intended to let coolant pass when the plug is loosened. Any suggestions what to do? Second o-ring replacing the alum washer? ![]() Thanks

First, I bet it has a 1 year warranty. Send it back for a new one.
Second, but I would not. I would remove the plug, let it all drain out, and put it back with some silicone, new oring and go from there.

The Pelican kit uses an AKG unit and the parts info says 24 month / 24,000 miles.
Silly-cone is not an option for this one :-) I'll drain system and inspect without my finger in the dike and go from there Thanks

I drained the system. After cleaning and drying things the o-ring did have a nick and a pinch that tore the surface.
Replaced the ring with a hardware store Viton ring. With a couple garage heat cycles on it things are still dry. I only put about 2600 miles on the car since I installed the center radiator and replaced the AOS.
