Looking for A3 buying advice

We are going to be downsizing from our S6 Avant to a used A3 this fall. What things would you guys look for specifically/ check out specifically if you were looking? Any major flaws/ years to avoid/ maintenance items to specifically check? Anything you would do differently if you were looking again? Just looking for any pearls of knowledge anyone may have.
Thinking probably 2010 or newer.

Thanks guys

My ex has a 2007 A3 with the DSG transmission. LOVE the DSG. It is so much fun, really makes the car in my opinion!
THings to lookout for? They have a known and well documented issue with the fuel pump cam follower. The follower wears away and then the cam lobe gets damaged from pumping the fuel pump directly. You often hear a loud tick tick and usually at that point you need to replace the cam, follower, and pump. We bought a car that had this issue and used it as a bargaining chip to get a better price. I was felt good about this because i happened to know that Audi extended the warranty on these parts specifically and the seller didn't care to research it on his own.
So bought the car, took it to the dealer and had all parts replaced gratis.
Not sure but i think this stuff was only applicable to 05-07 2.0 models so if you get a 2010 or up you should be a-okay.

Seriously though, that DSG makes for one helluva fun car!
