Climate control doesn't light up

Does anyone know what steps are needed to get my climate control lights to work? At one point if i banged on the side of radio/climate control, it would pop on. Now, the whole section is dark. Im wondering if its a bulb, like the clock light i had to change. If anyone knows, email me at darkeyedangelz@aol.com

thanks.

Angela

Interior illumination seems to be a problem with Bimmers. My stereo display light started half as bright when I bought the car, but would intermittently go to full brightness for a few seconds. Now its always out, & intermittently goes to half brightness for a few seconds. Ive read of a number of people talking about this problem.
My odometer display has the bottom half of the numbers drop off & switch to KM instead of Miles periodically, but will go back to the normal display after a few minutes.
Both of these issues seem to act up more when its cold, & first started this winter.

The knocking on the side of the bin leads me to suspect a loose wire. A bulb will typically go out when knocked around, though it may get bright for a little while first. (In household lightbulbs, "a little while" is about 1 second.)

You're probably gonna have to disassemble stuff so you can check all the wires...
