Question
When they call an M3 a saloon and i think there is another, what do these mean,where do they come from and whats the difference between them.

Saloon is the European term for a 4 door car.
Here's a quick break down Saloon = 4 door or sedan Coupe = 2 Door Estate = Station Wagon |

It comes from the old timers in Europe. Means sedan as in 4 door...

Cabriolet means convertible and Touring means hatchback |

Not to say your wrong but i read in a book i bought, not sure where it is, that the M3 was denoted by saloon and some others, could be wrong

evolution refers to the M3 models that have been either lightened or modified by the factory for racing.
