Angry AC compressor whirring noise

My compressor makes a slight whirring noise when it engages and fear that the clutch or compressor is wearing out.

Please tell me it just needs a service. The car is a 93 325i with 120k on it.

Thanks for the input.
Patrick

Sounds like the bearings in the compressor may be starting to go out. How well does the A/C work in general?

The AC blows way cold. The sound is maybe more of a light scraping then the whirring I stated before. It also is intermittent.
