Question Regarding Rear Sidemarker

Hi All,
I just noticed that the Driver Side Rear Sidemarker on my 89 325i is missing or suddenly vanished! The sidemarker fairy must have grabbed it...Grrr
Anyways..i initially thought that the marker was just a reflector that does not light up with my parking lights but as I look through the Pelican Parts catalog, im noticing that there appears to be an electrical plug on the backside...
so my question is..do these rear sidemarkers light up when I turn on my lights? i checked my passenger side marker and swore that it wasnt lit when i turned on my lights...

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yup, they illuminate when you turn the lights on.

I believe Ive got 2 sidemarkers I dont need & I "think" they are for 87-88 E30...(I picked them up at a wrecking yard thinking they fit my 86)

If yours are the short ones..(more rectangular than the early models) your welcome to them for just shipping.

Dave.

Keep in mind that the front ones are amber and the rears are red.

I looked over my empty slot where the sidemarker should be and I swear I dont see any wiring for illumination. I know for certain that the passenger side marker doesnt illuminate when the lights are on..busted fuse maybe?
Dave, thanks for the offer..I already picked up a replacement through Pelican. Thanks again!

I assure you there is a connection there, it may have fallen inside the rear trunk.

Thanks Jared..just found the wiring for the sidemarker lens; it was laying inside the rear bumper.
Quick follow up question; do you know what the part number is for the replacment bulb for the sidemarker?
