Neutral switch location
Does anyone know where the Neutral switch is on a 325 Automatic.?
I think thats my problem with the intermiitent starting problem... Lately, it wont even turn over in "park" but will in "neutral".....I hope thats the prob anyway. Thanx. Dave. |

Sounds like that is indeed the problem. Usually when a car wont start in park, it indicates the switch is bad.
On your car, the switch is located at the bottom of the gearshift lever. You will have to remove the column to access it. |

Uhgg...ok thanx jared...... for some odd reason "Haynes" (grrrrrrrr) doesnt mention that as a possibility under.."engine wont turn over" section of troubleshooting.
Im going to write them (or email) a letter nicely explaining that...if your gonna be in the business of "instruction" make sure you tell the whole story. There, got that off my chest.....LOL. Dave. |

My experience with haynes manuals in the past has led to me having to rebuild my carburetor on my old truck. They superimposed a picture for the firing order on the engine, and forgot to reverse the negative. Hence, my igniton was 180 degrees off when i strated the engine and sent a plume of fire back up through the carb, blowing out all the power valves
