Anyone have any tips on how to remove the heater control panel right below the stereo?

To remove the Digital HVAC unit, first you have to remove the OBC (On Board Computer) under it, so that you can push the HVAC from behind. First, to remove the OBC, put your finger thru the hole on the top of the change holder (black pocket at the very bottom), it has a hole on the top of it, push out the OBC with your finger. Then, with the OBC removed, use the big gaping hole to push out the OBC, being gentle so as to not push it out so hard that you damage the connecting wires. Then remove the 2 wiring harness (one is black and the bigger one is blue), and bada bing!

Thanks for the info ttboyvanc. I still can't get it out for some reasWhen i push on the HVAC it stops because the hole that it's is trying to go through is a tad too small. Do I have to remove my radio too? Thanks

No, just give it a good pull. If you can remove the connector on the back of the unit, then give it a really good push from behind.

Let me make sure that we're talking about the same thing. The "unit" I'm talking about has 4 rotory knobs(2 Big, 2 small)and is right below the
radio. It's not the temperature control unit that is located above the radio. Anyway, I have taken out the OBC and have access to the unit. It is still too wide for it to push through the "hole" it's mounted in. The only way possible( to me) is to take the radio out as well and then angle it out of the "hole".

Also, the problem with the unit is that the main light that lights up the circles and numbers around the knobs has burned out. I have taken the faceplate off of the unit and spotted the small bulb that is burned out. However, the rest of the unit is still stuck behind the dash.
