E 36 Chips
Hello, for a 1992 325i (manual), what is better: Autothority or Dinan? In terms of chips. Which is better overall and long term?
Thanks... Mike

I do not have an answer to your question, but do you have a web site that gives info on these two brands. I am looking for a chip for my 93 318is and would like to check these out thx.

Be careful when you change chips. You may have problems
with pinging or fail an emissions test. Check this website (systemsc.com). It may provide further insights into chips and problems. Good luck Lorenfb@aol.com

Try looking up "PowerChip" on the WEB, they are an Australian CHIP manufacturer that exports to the USA. They have done extensive testing on Dyno and road, Customer service is excellent

Anytime you go with a different chip, you have to run hihg octane gas. Essentialy what the chip does is advance the timing of the car electronically. I noticed the car runs even peppier with a little octane boost as well. One day Im going to get a tank of racving fuel in there to see what the results are. you can get 112 octane in CA, but it's like $4.50 a gallon.

Ya I would go with Dinan...that's what I got and it's cool....but I dunno about passing emissions tests and such....I guess you'll have to change it out when going to try to pass your smog but it only takes like 15 minutes....
