In Need Of A Good Tech Article
Guys, I'm lookin for a couple good tech articles on how to change/replace both headlight assemblies and corners. I'm looking to loose the stock US junk with Euro Ellipsoid/Angel Eye lamps & clear corners.
Also, does anyone know how much additional wiring is needed to incorporate the Angel Eye's? Is this a tough install without much electrical knowledge?

Lots of splicing I heard is needed to install ellipsoids. You can go ahead and just buy plug and play wires from Matt (umnitza). I heard he also has the best prices for ZKWs (the best). Don't go with angel eye/inpro stuff, their quality kinda sucks. The angel eyes also dont shine that bright.
Links for ellipsoid installation: http://www.logun.org/ellipsoidinstall.htm http://www.apexcone.com/JimPowellHomepage/Lighting/EuroEllipsoids/EuroEllipsoids.html INstalling angel eyes: http://www.logun.org/AngelEyes.htm And finally, installing corners: http://www.logun.org/frclears.htm I thought you didn't like the clear corner look??? Best of luck. Make sure you get stongard or some other invisible film to put over ur new glass headlights - I've seen pitting and rock chips and they aren't pretty.

Your right Stup, I don't like the cheesie white corners, or the clear ones with the chrome housing. To me those look just too 'aftermarkety', however, I found this set that has black housing which gives it more of a 5 series 'spot' corner stock look. These are especially nice if you maintain headlights with black housing (which I plan to do), so the entire assembly seems to blend together. I'm not convinced I really need to change the side markers to clear either. If I keep my rears amber, the side will match nicely if it stays amber, thus I can keep the stock appearance I'm so fond of, yet have a cool custom look on the front of the car. Check it out.

I've seen them before in person, it looks kinda funky when the turn signal light is on. I must admit they look better in person than they do in pictures, but that is still not really my taste. I still prefer smoked or clears, but thats just my opinion. I wish there was a cheap way to get the clear/red tail lights, but there isn't. Why must we spend $200 just so that one lil strip of orange is white!?!?!

When you refer to 'clears' are you talking about the white 'chiseled' look like these.................
![]() Those seem to be the most popular choice for corner replacement, & they are the cheapest. I just don't think they add anything to the car. I mean, there is nothing subtle about them. The white lens stands out almost more than the amber, I think a clear lens allows the corner to blend in with the headlight. BTW, I hear ya on the tail light. That's one of the reasons I've held off on the corners for so long. There's no frickin way I'm gonna spend $200 a piece for one little strip of white. But by leaving the rear amber, the sides & corners look stupid in white. The way I'm doin it, I can leave the side amber to match the back, & it's irrelevant to the corners, cause they match the headlight. See, ................the boy's got skills!
