Question Alignment Specs!!->Got any?

I just installed a set of '99 LTW rims on my 98 329is and the understeer is HORRIBLE!!! (225F - 245R).. all tires have a AA traction rating. "now to verify---UNDERSTEER is when in a turn the front end plows... right, 'cause thats whats happening". I know thats what the car is designed to do, but does anyone have specs that they've used on their daily drivers that neutralizes (dials out) some of it???!!!
I know the "lower tire pressure in the rear" thing, -kinda helps...
Other than playing with the alignment- what else is there to do??

not to worry, from what everyone else is saying, 225/245 is a bad setup. balance the tires front to rear. add camber plates. lower the front end and put more air in the front tires less in the rear...just some of the comments I have been given...

If you don't want to get new tires right away, I would suggest taking about a half-degree of negative camber OUT of the rear end. That is, make them about a half-degree closer to zero. That will make the rear end of the car stick worse, which will help it match the front a bit better.

I do not recommend going with more negative camber up front because I feel that wears the tires faster than in the rear. (Due to having less toe-in at the front, usually, and due to the front wheels doing the turning.) If you're interested in helping the fronts wear out faster, you can instead dial in about a half-degree more negative camber up front.

Alternately, you could stiffen up the rear end of the car by adding stiffer rear springs or a stiffer rear sway bar. Either of those will wind up helping the front end stick better than it currently does.
