Red face

It could be your head gasket. The fact that you are losing coolant and it is missing leads me to believe you are burning water. Not sure, but maybe.

thanx for that replys i thaught i loosing water, so i topped up the coolent and drove the car for a week, and it stayed at the same level nothing was lost, so i still got some (Holts) wondarweld flushed the system out put that in incase it was the head gasket, but no result the car is still missing, the next thing im going to try is the coils or the plugs leads.
what do you think??

Exclamation

Do what Jared suggested, turn the ignition on and step on the gas 5 times, then stop. The check engine light will flash on, then off, then flash a 4 digit code. It will pause between flashes. Count the number of flashes between pauses. Once you have a code, say 1444, tell us.

If you don't own a Bentley Manual, buy one from Pelican. It has the procedure and fault codes

There is a good probability that the crankshaft position sensor is your culprit. Alot of times the end of the sensor, just gets really dirty and needs to be cleaned.

I also would remove the tape on the wires as it sounds like you may have a bad connection. See if the wires have been spliced, if so, re-do the connection.

Good luck

the crankshaft sensor is a part that does fail and will cause those symtoms as does the air mass sensor will cause different things to happen crankshaft sensors are around i think 80 to 100 us dollars mass air sensors are expensive several hundred dollars
