328is M52 Oxygen Sensor Question

Right this moment, I'm halfway done replacing my pre-cat oxygen sensors. I took out the sensor for cylinders 1-3 (frontmost) and found that they were connected to the rear connector under the left engine cover. I was expecting the frontmost sensor to connect to the frontmost connector.

Can someone who's replaced sensors on an M52 tell me if mine are connected properly, or if they need to be switched?

Thanks

Mark

Never mind, I found the answer in the ETM. The car was right and I was wrong.

Speaking of Oxygen Sensors...

I know that my oxygen sensors are beyond their life. I purchased four oxygen $en$or$ from Pelican today.

I have a fear of removing o2 sensors, simply because one time I tried to remove mine on my motorcycle and the threads broke off. Is there a DIY tip you guys could share with me on how to go about this the best way? Hit the sensor with a hammer? Warm the car up first? What do you guys do?

Soak it with PB Blaster or other liq wrench for a day or so. Using the proper O2 tool can help in a lot of cases.

Thank you sir. And any suggestions as to the temperature of the o2 sensors/exhaust?
