Exclamation Them stupid lights on the dashboard

The , , and lightly flashes from time to time then dimms away. All three appears in sync. My brake fluid level is good, and just changed to a new battery but still not a fix.

Can anyone provide a plausible explanation or a remedy? I need some help Jared!

Count me in on this one too. I thought it was a bad alternator, but it and the battery check okay. The lights flickering on mine are not rpm dependant and I haven't found anything else that happens at the same time every time. My car is a 90 325i with 170,000 miles.

I would probably check the connections on the back of the cluster... Are they loose?

Sigh* I guess them lights are indicating something's wrong....

The battery on the car isnt being charged. I changed it a week ago so I guess it has now depleted since then. But what i still dont understand is how does and come into play?

If the battery isnt being charged, is the source of the problem the alternator?

Thanks to those who responded.

How complicated is it to self-change the alternator? and would someone supply me with some instructions?

I appreciate it.

Changing the alternator is quite easy. You'll need to simply loosen the adjustment bracket, remove the belt, then unbolt the alternator from the mounting brackets. disconnect the electrical connections. Installation is the opposite of removal.
