hi i have had a problem with erratic idle on my e36 325i [1992] for a while now some one mentioned that it could be an inlet control valve.not being to technical,on induction id appreciate any suggestions photo,s etc on this to remedy the situation thanks matt.

ICV - Idle Control Valve
We've discussed it several times, try to find it. I dont have time at the moment to explain or look it up but if you cant find it yourself reply here and I'll try to help later.

thanks jeron,haD a look at it today ,seems like a manifold-off job. Idle seems to fluctuate 2mins after starting,do you think it could be anything else??thanks for info.

I managed to do my E36M3 without removing the intake manifold. I gave a long reair description on the M3 forum on this board.
I dont have any other suggestions. Here it is: Rough idle at startup Read the problem descriptions to see if they are similar to yours.
