1998 M3 Check Engine Light comes on and OBDII scanner reads fault code 0442 evap emissions circuit fault. The purge valve on the engine sucks a vacum against my finger when the engine is running so I assume OK. The shut-off valve in the charcoal can opens and closes when I removed it and connected it repeatedly to a 12v source so I assume OK. I can't find any obvious leaks in the lines. I have the fuel tank pressure sensor out but do not know how to test it?? Is there any common or "usual suspect" for this problem?? I hate to throw away $100 beans on a guess and replace the pressure sensor. Thanks in advance.

I figured it out. There was a pinched hose that comes out of the top overflow tank in the right rear wheel well. I bet this is a common problem so heads up if you get a evap emissions fault with the check engine light on check the hoses around the tank.
