Another Backup Lights Question-Help ASAP

Hi,
I'm Jon, new here, owner of an 89IX, I can't pass inspection because of a faulty backup lights switch. I have one on order so I looked under the gear shifter(automatic transmission) to see what I need to replace. Well, there is a white switch with a set of red and green wires coming out of it(and a lot of others), the red and green wires end in a black clip that looks like it would hold a tiny light bulb. COuld someone with an automatic take a pic of under their gear shifter showing me what it should look like? I know this is asking a lot but I don't want to screw it up and I need this to pass inspection. TIA,
Jon

Actually.......after checking this again.....the backup lights are coming on in Neutral, anyone have an idea on why this would happen?
