Exclamation SCAN code 1519, 1421 and 1423 (96 328i)

I am new to BMW and i received the above error codes p1519, p1421 and p1423 on my 96 BMW 328i edition.
Has anybody experienced these codes or how much to fix the problem?
Thanks for your anticipated help.
LOKO

I have the same question in another post. We've got a 97 328i with p1519. What I have found about p1519 is that the intake cam is not advancing like the ECM thinks it should. I believe it is a problem with the VANOS unit itself. I would really like to hear how people have solved this code! I will be taking the VANOS unit off the car on Friday to see if the plunger/gear moves freely or not. I hope its frozen solid! Then I'll know exactly what was wrong!

As far as your other codes- Alldata says they point to a fault in the secondary air injection system. I would suggest that you check for proper operation of the air pump, the check valve, the filter and all of the piping and hoses for leaks.

Reply back if you want me to mail you a copy of the testing and repair procedures for the air injection system.

Thanks for this information. It will be good to find out what happens when you take the VANOS out on Friday.
As to codes 1421 & 1423, please email me a copy of the testing and repair procedures for the air injection system.
