help! 11 button clock/computer module

I have 1 '99 323is (E36) and I cannot seem to remove the clock/computer display from the dash. I find the finger-hole under the display unit and and pull, but I can't seem to remove the module and I don't want to break it. Is there a trick to removing it?

You should be able to push up on a locking tab as you pull forward. Or try siding a flat blade or credit car in along the bottom.

It comes out easy don't force it.

The credit card thing worked very well and I have fixed the display on my OBC/display!! A $340 savings! Thanks to you both! Now I need to find out why my headlight switch "dash light" stays on whenever teh car is on and burnes out quickly after I replace it...any ideas? (I guess you can expect these things after 166k)...

Oh, and from one Wayne to another, I just bought your "101 projects" book for my bimmer and it is fantastic!Well Done and thanks-

Thanks for the kudos, can you offer more info on your headlamp switch issue? Seems a little odd. Or, for the sake of future searches, why don't you please start another topic?
