e30 strut insert
can the strut insert be replaced with out removing the the complete strutand spring? 325i cabriolrt 1989

Elmo,
Unfortunately not. I've got a 1990 325iC in which I replaced suspension front and rear. You will have to compress the strut springs to remove the strut assembly and cartridges. Not too tough a job, but somewhat time consuming. |

It should also be noted that this is a life threating job w/ out a spring compressor.
