325ix problems.
I'm replacing the front wheel bearings in my 325ix. Everything was coming off fairly easy until I realized I needed to remove the axle. How on earth do I do this? I have searched for instructions on how to remove an axle but non of them deal with ix's AWD. The removal of the rear axle looked easy enough with its 6 bolts, but I cannot find these on the front end. Does anyone have experience with replacing 325ix wheel bearings?

The axle has to pull out of the hub. I'm going from (poor) memory, but I think the only way is to separate the strut from the control arm. You may also have to loosen the top strut nut. It may be easiest to just take the strut out of the car to replace the bearing. There are only three nuts holding it (top, ball joint, and tie rod). Of course, the caliper has to come off too.
