LED Turn Signals?

I have a set of LED bulbs which illuminate amber. I am getting the hyperflash because LEDS have less resistance. I know there are resistor units available to bring the flash back to normal. The problem is where to mount them as they put out a lot of heat which defeats part of the purpose of having LEDS anyway. Is there such a thing as a solid state flasher relay for E36s that will solve this?
