A/C problem

As I stated in my last post the A/C was not operating or shall I say the blower. Now the damn thing came on and is working! But the blower stays on low without kicking the A/C compressor on. Just wandering if I have more of an electrical problem? Or is there another relay I have to replace??

I don't remember you last thread. Did you say you replaced the final stage and the capacitor on the control board? It sounds like the capacitor on the control board problem.

Yes, I had the control (capacitor) repaired, replaced the final stage too. I guess it doesn't hurt for the blower to run constant? And it's on low.....The A/C is not on!
Also, is it normal for the unit to default to "on" when I turn the car on?? Does it every time since I purchased it 2 yrs ago.

Yes the system comes on with the car, every time. I hate it. I think if it was off when I turned the car off it should be off when I turn it on.

Is that your only issue?

The fan runs continuously regardless if it is off or not! As a matter of fact it only runs on high when I hit the A/C button and will not adjust down. I'm assuming the problem still lies in the climate control, which I just had repaired.????

That is not normal. When the unit if off the fan and compressor should be off.

Obviously, there is a problem to control the speed of the blower. After replacing the final stage and repairing the resistor, I'm assuming this should have completed the job. So do I have to look further? Do I have a blower resistor too? That might be a problem too. You show that I do in your A/C elect. breakdown.

The problem must be with the control unit. The fan power goes through the final stage resistor and it should not be getting power when the unit is off. Thats just speculation on my part. I dont know enough about the A/C electrical to say more than that.
