BMW Roundel Yet Another E36 Rear Clunk Question

My '93 325i has developed a slight clunking sound in the rear when making slow 90 degree right hand turns. I have determined that the sound is made with and without applying power during the slow turn. I have not been able to determine if the sound is coming from one side or the middle. Also, the rear shocks and shock mounts are relatively new, so I am looking for other things to check/suspect. Thanks!

guess jeron cant help you than. your trailing arm bushings are a good place to start with. if you grab the trailing arm towards the front is it easy to slide side to side. also very uncommon but the bushings where the camber adjustment is can go bad.

It could also be your subframe mounts; those are a big pain in the hemorrhoids to change.

At the risk of seeming silly, I will state that I discovered the tire jack handle was not properly stowed in my new-old project car's trunk. Now there's a clunking sound that's easy to fix.
