PSS9 Question

I am hoping someone can clarify something for me. I have a 97 M3 and people are telling me that the PSS9 for the E36 will fit my vehicle except that I will not have the drop link tabs on the strut, I will have to lower them like the E36. I know that the PSS9 system for the M3 and E36 have different part numbers, but are the drop link tabs the only difference between the two systems.

The M3 sway bar connects to the shock and the non-M to the control I think.

I think you already know as much as I do. I would contact the manufacturer. I think the sway bars are interchangeable so maybe you just need the new link to connect your sway to the control arm.

That is what I thought, but now I am getting conflicting information. Some people say they are the same and some people are saying they are different. I thought all I needed to do was change where the sway bar connects to.

Well the sway bar part numbers are different because of the diameter but that is not relative.

Look up aftermarket sways and see if they are interchangeable. UUC, RRT, Dinan etc.

If so then I'd bet you are good to go. I assume you are getting a good enough deal on the PSS9 to warrant the hassle.
