BMW Roundel front end vibration

Iīm having a serious vibration coming from the driverīs side front wheel area, but it only occurs at somewhat high speeds (70 mph+). Most of the time I drive at much lower speeds, so it rarely bothers me. But sometimes on the highway my engine keeps asking for more when soccer moms change lanes to pass me by in their minivans like "you're driving a bmw...why are you slowing everybody down?".
I drove 4 hours (each way) to Washington DC some time ago, at higher speeds, (don't make me say how high, never know who's looking) and everything was fine other than a flat tire. One day after coming back I noticed the mentioned vibration, so I slowed down and it stopped, so I kept going. Should I suspect something tire/wheel related, since the vibration comes from where I had the flat? I had to replace that tire, not just repair it. Or could it be ball-bearing or suspension related? I just don't know what to look for.

Make sure that the suspected wheel is properly balanced.

Garage
check balance
lugs tightened properly and in sequence
hub mating surface and wheel mating surface clear of debris

The flat tire was replaced with a new tire, correct?

well, technically, no, because I mounted a slightly used tire on that wheel, but I had it balanced though....can the fact that the tire is used be the cause?

Yes it could, especially if this tire was used on a different car before.
