OBD 1 Reset Help Needed
I'm trying to reset an OBD code using the gas pedal procedure. I get the code to display but contrary to expectations, the OBD reads out and rather than going to code 1000 as indicated in the manual, the same code keeps repeating itself.
Any help greatly appreciated.

What kind of car?
If its not a Buick or anything, most OBD1, BMWs will reset if you disconnect the battery for a while. at least mine does. I hve pumped my 93 until I had foot cramps. Finally bought a Peak Research code reader/reset instrument, from our host. Well worth the investment.

Another BBS site suggested that you can hold the pedal down for 20 seconds or more while the codes are blinking to clear the code.
