1992 316 Engine torque settings help?????
I'm looking for cylinder head torque settings for 316/318 1992 E36 ( M40 engine)
and my hydraulic tappets are making a lot of noise |

Did the bolts come with installation specs? You must use new bolts.
The procedure is not simple torque with the stretch head bolts. It will involve a series of 90deg turns. The hydraulic lifters and be disassembled and cleaned. There was a post about it here less than a year ago.
