software and to keep up with engin work

Hey guys, got a few questions

just picked up a project car from a guy ( 1996 M3 ) and he had the block machine bored ( thinking wisecoe pistons ill know when i put a micromiter on it) and along with that he has the shrink/sunbelt cams that hes giving to me.

I plan on putting 24ilb injectors and a high MAF

so with these upgrades i fully realizes that i wont get anything out of the motor if the cars software thinks its still the stock motor

My question is is there a piggy back system i can download into my car? i know the newer cars have that kind of thing available

Or is my only option going to Dianin or Jim Conforti and getting the software injector for my mods which will probably cost me at least 1300 dollars?
