I have been trying to get a fault diagnosis on my 1994 E36, the ABS light is staying on, but when connecting to the car I can only connect and read two modules (ZKE and Inst Cluster) the others say ' module does not respond'. The car runs ok and I've fitted a new battery. I'm using a 6.5 version of CarSoft and connecting using a laptop. Anyone come up against unresponsive modules before???

The 94 has the same control module as my 93, the 3.3.1 DME. It does not store ABS codes. There are no codes as far as I know. I have a list of the codes available, through the com port and nothing refers to the ABS, or the brakes for that matter. The book only says the dealer has special diagnostic equipment for the ABS control unit.
