328i power windows dropping down when raising

just checking out there for any advice regarding E36 328I front power windows, when you are putting them closed they go up some of the way then drop down some. You can close the windows by manipulating the switch but I was checking for a possible reset procedure?? so they close in one solid action

It usually only does that when there is something binding and hindering the window from moving up smoothly and has nothing to do with a reset.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't believe it is a binding problem as both front windows perform the same way. I thought it may require a reset function as it recently had a new battery and I know that sometimes Toyota Land Cruiser's power windows require a reset when battery's die sometimes...thanks again
