Hi,This is all great.
I recently tried to replace BMW Business CD on my 318i, 2003 model. Everything is working fine except that I cannot get the new stereo to fit within the place of the old one! There seem to be a bracket at the back of the place but I dont want to cut it in case I want to re-install my BMW cd. Any help please? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Pelican Technical Article: BMW Radio Head Unit Installation |

Certain models of stereos may require some additional space, particularly if it's an aftermarket one. I would suggest that you seriously consider whether or not you will want to install the old one back in place. If you just want to try out the new one for a while, then I might make the suggestion of wiring it up and letting it hang out of the dash for a bit, until you're 100% committed to it. At that point, then cut the bracket that's in the way. It won't look too cool, but it will leave your options open.
