OBC MMPH LED always ON

Does your square MMPH LED on the OBC button always stay ON? My is always ON even with the engine is turned OFF. I think this square LED is draining my battery.

If it is not supposed to be ON, how can I turn it OFF?

I haven't driven my E30 in about 6 years.. (son drives it) but if I remember correctly, you click on it twice and it turns off. I don't know about it staying on after the car is turned off though.

sdp is correct. I don't think there is a way to turn it off, since it sounds like yours is malfunctioning. But I doubt it's draining your battery that much. Think about it. Most car security systems use a blinking LED that can stay on for a week or more without killing the battery. Hell, even my cell phone uses an LED to warn me when the battery is low. So unless you're leaving your car parked for several days between drives, I don't think this LED is draining your battery. You may have a drain somewhere else.
