Differential input yoke swap ?

My car is a 1987 BMW 325E with a M50 engine/ Getrag 250 tranny swap.

I bought an E28 S3.25 diff online to swap into my car. It got damaged in shipping somehow and one of the ears on the input yoke is bent inward somewhat. Trying to decide between heating up the yoke to bend it back to norm or swapping the input yoke from my original E30 diff into this new LSD? I've heard it is pretty difficult to swap yokes, so just inquiring to see what would be involved and what would be the best course of action.
Would really appreciate any input that could help improve the outcome.
Thx much,
--Scott
