Pelican Parts Bilstein PSS9 System?

What do you folks think of the PSS9 system from Bilstein? I'm probably going to do a tech article on the installation of this adjustable coil-over system.

You can adjust the ride (absorbancy level), and also the ride height using the same shock...

Anyone using this system on their BMW? Anyone want to?

Hi Wayne,

I'm planning on upgrading the suspension on my 97 328i sometime in the future. I will probably go with something like the H&R Cup Suspension kit (shocks & springs) which sells for about $650. The PSS9 sounds really good but cannot justify the expense for a 95% street car. Regardless, a tech article on the PSS9 should carry over for any setup. So, go for it.

Many thanks for starting this BMW board

But the H&R system is not adjustable. Here's a deal for you. I need to buy the system and install it on my 318is to do the tech article. I'm planning on installing it, and then removing it and replacing it with standard Bilsteins. I would also use the photos of the install for my upcoming book, "101 Projects for Your BMW 3-Series."

After about 20-25 miles of adjusting and playing with it, I'm going to remove it and probably sell it for less than a grand (retail is around $1300). If this is something that you might be interested in, then let me know (or anyone else for that matter).
