Trailing arms needs attention

Going to replace trailing arm bushings on my 93 e36. Never done it. I have however redone the front end on this car more than once and other ones I have had, and replaced wheel bearings, cvs and shocks on the rear of this one, but never trailing arm or rear control arms.
I once again am dipping from the well of experience (this forum), that has been there for me for many miles. A great resource by the way..Thank you all, and thank you in advance for any assistance and comments that may/will help me with this project.

The job looks pretty straitforward to me, but the bently manual says I have to replace the bearings in the trailing arm because I must remove the arm to replace the bushings. The bearings are good, is there a way to press the bushing out and back in without taking the trailing arm all the way out? And if I do have too take it all the way out, can I unbolt the CV axle at the differential and leave the stub shaft and bearing in the trailing arm, replace the bushings and put it all back without disturbing the stub shaft and bearing?

I went through this exact procedure a few years ago with my E30. I don't imagine that the E36 is too much different. I removed the rear trailing arms in their entirety, disconnecting the drive shafts at the differential. A bit time consuming, but not too bad difficulty-wise.

Thanks Yurick,
I thought so. And I am sure you are right about the e36 being very similar. That is the route I am going to take.

Coolbear,
I changed out all suspension components except for the sub-frame bushing.
