Replacing front driver window seal

I was in the process of replacing the Driver and Passenger side Outer window rubber on my '88 325 Convertible but it has turned into a challenge. Does anyone know if there are any documented processes out there somewhere on how to do this. I've done a search and looked through all my repair books and can't seem to locate anything.
