i have a 2001 bmw z3. codes p0339 and p0727 popped. replaced crankshaft position. cranks slow and runs rough for 30 secs then idles normally. when driving it shiftd rough at 15 and 20 mph. aloso downshifts hard st same speeds. any suggestions.

Are the crankshaft sensor codes still present? If so check the new sensor and wiring back tot he DME. If not, you may have fault codes stored in the transmission control module. These fault codes may point you to the source of the shifting problem.
