Hey nick thanks for the reply I took out the camshaft sensor and it was covered in thick black oil on both sensors so I cleaned them and she gunk off and cleaned rhe housing where they sit and that was covered in gunk aswell so probably the last owners aint looked after it its is running a lot better now but got it booked in for an engine flush and full service do u think I should do an engine flush ?? Thanks again for ur help

Engine flushes can be hit or miss. I would do a few short interval oil changes and see if that helps. It might help to remove the valve cover and inspect the engine, see how clean it is.
