I've got a 98 328IC that I recently purchased and the air flow out of the vents on high fan feels like it's low even with recirculate on AC mode. I've changed the in cabin filter with little improvement, it was dirty. I don't feel air out of other ducts, and I can hear the fan changing speeds, but doesn't offer much output. Any idea's? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here:

Do you have electronic or manual climate control? You may have a broken mode door motor. This motor switches the air flow from defroster to front facia to footwell. (there is more than one motor). Maybe you just have a weak blower motor or power stage, which I think is more likely - Nick

 Blower resistor?

The climate control is the electronic version and when I put it in recirculate, no difference in fan speed is detectable. When you change modes, defrost, front vent and lower vent, it is changing. When you increase the fan speed, you can hear it increasing until you get a little past mid way as shown on the display. The last six segment of display increase but no change in fan speed is detected. Ideas? Thanks Steve
