Hi i have a 1999 e36 318ti compact the engine has been running really sweet since i bought it then all of a sudden while i was out in it i pulled up switched engine off when i returned 1 minute later i started the engine and it chugged like crazy like it was missing i cleaned plugs and also bought a new set that made no difference swapped coil still nothing i have found that no1 cylinders injector has no electrical feed going to it by using a test light on it while engine was running. Can anybody help me please ?

The injectors may be shut off due to an engine misfire. i would try to isolate the engine misfire. Start by checking the DME for fault codes. A fault code may indicate what cylinde ris misfiring.

To check if the injector is being shut off due to misfire, clear the fault and restart the engine, the injector will fire until misfire is determined to be too high, then injector will be shut off by the DME.
