Fixed the over heating problem it was low on coolant. Now it doesnt over heat but still no power. Doesnt want to accelerate it will accelerate to 3000 rpm's but it takes forever to pick up speed after that. It makes it difficult to make it on the on ramp to the highway. What could this be?

I would pressure test the cooling system to see where the coolant went. There has to be a leak. If your engine has a bad head gasket, it could have a low power issue.
If the engine runs well at idle and only has an issue under load, check fuel pressure, volume and quality, then check exhaust back pressure.
