Hi have got a 2000 bmw 316i compact with the 1.9 8v engine in, get a problem only when the engine is cold will start and drove but will not get above 3000rpm until it warms up if you try to accelerate past this its just goes lumpy and no power is there, once the temp have warmed up pulls like a train again have replaced o2 sensor and spark plugs but still doin the same, any ideas please?

I would start by checking the DME for fault codes. If the system is not working properly, a fault code will be set. I would also check fuel trim when the problem is present and not. This will help you decide if it is a fuel related problem. Then I would perform a fuel delivery system test. Check fuel pressure, volume and quality.
