Hi i have a bmw 316i se. Think its e36 model yr 2000. It seems to drive fine but when i come to stand still the revs drop really low to the point car shakes as if about to stall. The revs will hover up and down below 1rpm but once moving is fine again. Seems worse when cold and have noticed it does it less when i fill up with super unleaded instead of unleaded. Throttle body has been cleaned twice still does it and nothing comes up on diags. Any ideas?

Could be a fault in the idle air valve or the crankcase breather. With no fault codes, you'll have to test these items individually.
