what part is this?
Any ideas what this hose is called? I have searched through a couple online stores, nothing seems to match it. The end looks like an air intake, but I am not sure. I see the bentley talks about removing the MAF hose before removing the alternator, but this hose seems to cool the alt.
Hey, if it is connected to the maf or something, wonder if that could be tossing codes and setting the CEL. Hose is the big one in the middle with chunks missing.

Right - I think it is an alternator cooling hose - it shouldn't be tripping codes...
The MAF hose is connected to the big MAF sensor... -Wayne

Yep. Just an air duct. One of many. It is very passive in any electronics. It's simply to cool the alternator as Wayne said.
