Front control arm bushing ring issue

Any idea on why the rings on both sides of the bushings would be falling out? I have replaced mine twice on the front control arms and the ring keeps working its way loose and out of the bushing. When it works its way out the back it falls off.

The bushing bracket is likely worn out. Replace it.

The brackets came with the bushings. It was all one part.

What brand of bushing did you use for replacement? Have you ever looked into upgrading those bushings? I'd recommend checking out Powerflex bushings (link below). I prefer them over OEM/Genuine replacement bushings as they give you prolonged tire life, improved performance, better handling and they are more cost-effective than OEM bushings. I'd also think this would possibly fix your issue.

Autozone bushings. Not sure of the brand.

Any special tools required for these? Do I need a press to get them on? The current ones slide on with silicone spray.

Thanks.

Not saying this is your issue, but personally I'd be wary about aftermarket bushings from places like that. You could call Autozone and ask them if there have been many reported issues with the particular bushing you purchased. I'm not 100% sure if you'll need a press to install the Powerflex bushing into the bracket. If you do end needing to you can take the bracket and bushings to a local indy shop and ask them to press the bushings into the bracket for you. The shop I used to work at we had individuals come in and we would do it for a small fee. Might give one near you a shout and see if they will do it and what they would charge.
