My deck lid had no shocks so instead of buying those I switched to 911R hinges. Pretty easy project, went with 50cm spacing. Not completely happy with the dimensional quality of the hinge, I have a 1mm gap on passenger side window sill and a 3mm gap on driver side window sill.
