That was weird and scary
I pulled my 911 out of my garage to go for a drive long enough to get the oil up to 190 or so so I could check the oil level. It is 78 degrees and clear blue skies here today.
Anyway, I realized I left my sunglasses in my El Camino, so I turn off the 911, and went to get my sunglasses. Less than 30 seconds time, and guy stops in a new Toyota pickup and approaches me. He says he want to buy my car.
I gave him my standard reply, it is not for sale for any reasonable price.
He asked what the price is and I said 50 grand. He replied how about 30 cash. I said I want to sell it almost as much as I want a Mohawk haircut and facial tattoos. 50 grand is the price. He is going to call his brother in California and see what he says. I told him you can buy nice 911s for a lot less from other people. Mine is not for sale.
It is a 1985 911 Carrera with nice paint, and clean looking. I bought it in 1995, and love it. 50K may be low, I should have said 60K.
It is locked, and in the garage, and it is disabled right now. The DME relay is in my safe, as are the spare keys. We will be sure to use the alarm if we leave the house at all.
